About Kara Logan Berlin

Kara began her fundraising and development career more than a dozen years ago in New York City planning and executing Special Events at Citymeals-on-Wheels. From there she went on to the role of Director of Development for Harlem RBI where she oversaw individual and corporate giving, a robust foundation portfolio and in-house special events as well as brand development, marketing, public relations and communications. Following Harlem RBI, Kara joined the Robin Hood Foundation as a Major Gifts Officer and served as a pro-bono development consultant for Robin Hood grantees. In 2009 Kara took the experience she gained working for non-profits on the ground and launched her own development consultancy, Harvest. Harvest is dedicated to helping organizations increase revenue, fundraise more efficiently and become sustainable over time. In 2012, she combined best practices and practical tools to create the Harvest Development Boot Camp, designed to take fundraising professionals to the next level.

Kara holds a Masters in Education Administration, as well as a BA in Communications from Santa Clara University. Additionally, she has completed certificate programs at Columbia University’s Institute for Not-for-Profit Management in both Non-Profit Management and Leadership Development. Kara was a 2011 Aspen Ideas Festival Scholar.
